A rare Ridgeway & Abington jug, circa 1850, decorated in relief with an anti-slavery scene from Uncle Tom's Cabin, impressed marks to base, 16cm high. This jug marks an important historical period, following the long overdue Abolition of Slavery Act, in 1833. A similar lidded jug is housed in the collection of the Greenwich Museum, in London
